We enable the maintenance and development of the professional competence of rescue service and ERC personnel by providing opportunities for continuing professional education to meet the competence needs of working life. Our programmes bring together the producers, users, and developers of new knowledge and competence. This creates new thinking and solution models and innovative cooperation networks.

Emergency care
Our emergency care training team provides continuing professional education and training services for professionals in emergency medical services – from firefighters to officers, from practical nurses to doctors, and from students to teachers.
Emergency response centre operations
Our emergency response centre operations training team provides continuing professional education in ERC operations and for actors in different organisations working with the Virve telecommunications network.
We also provide expert services in our competence area for the continuing professional education provided by other teaching units.
Accident prevention
We provide continuing professional education and further training in accident prevention for parties involved in accident prevention.
Topics include public safety communications, structural fire safety, fire inspections, fire investigations, fire technology equipment, fire safety technology, and functional fire design.
Fire and rescue incident command
Our fire and rescue incident command team provides continuing professional education and training services for all levels of fire and rescue incident command.
Topics include e.g. extinguishing fires, traffic accidents, water rescue, work at hight, off-road rescue, emergency calls, boom ladder rescue operations, and animal rescue operations.
