Degree programmes
At the Emergency Services Academy, you can complete an Emergency Response Centre Operator degree, a Firefighter degree, a Sub-Officer degree or a Bachelor of Rescue Services degree. The aim of the degree programmes is to provide students with the capabilities needed to act humanely, professionally, and reliably in their work.
Emergency Response Centre Operator degree, 90 credits
The qualifications of an Emergency Response Centre Operator are acquired through the completion of this 1.5-year programme, which is organised jointly between the Emergency Services Academy and the Police University College.
The objective of the programme is to prepare the student for the comprehensive processing of emergency calls, from receiving the call to guiding and advising the client.

Firefighter degree
Firefighter degree, 90 credits
The Firefighter degree programme lasts for 1.5 years. The degree confers eligibility for positions as a firefighter or a firefighter-paramedic.
Sub-Officer degree, 60 credits
The degree programme to become a sub-officer in rescue services lasts for two semesters (1 year). The degree confers eligibility to apply for sub-officer positions in rescue departments.

Bachelor of Rescue Services
Bachelor of Rescue Services, 240 credits
The Bachelor in Rescue Services degree provides the prerequisites for serving in all fire officer positions of rescue departments. The Bachelor’s degree programme is a 4-year programme, the aim of which is to train rescue service experts that are highly educated and committed to their professional development.
