How to arrive at the Emergency Services Academy
The visiting address of the Emergency Services Academy is Hulkontie 83, 70820 Kuopio. If you arrive by car, please park in one of the guest parking spaces and get a parking permit from the Lobby Services. The Lobby Services desk is located in Building A, to the right of the main entrance (marked ‘A2’ in the figure).
The parking permit must be placed so that it is visible through the windscreen. This will help avoid parking fines. If the parking area is full, you can park your car by the curb of the Letkukaari road opposite the Emergency Services Academy.
Student parking spaces are located behind the main building.

Building A is the main building. Restaurant Tulikukko is located in the left wing, and there is a gym downstairs. The right wing of the building accommodates the heavy equipment hall. The building also accommodates the Student Affairs Office, classrooms and learning facilities, the library, and office spaces for administration.

Driving instructions
Coming from the south
From Main Road 5 (E65), take the Pitkälahti exit to the right. Then, turn right onto Route 553. Drive for about 400 metres into the roundabout by the ABC petrol station and exit onto the Hulkontie road. Drive the Hulkontie road for approximately 3 km, and you will arrive at the Emergency Services Academy on the right-hand side of the road.
Driving from the north
From Main Road 5 (E65), take the Petonen/Saaristokaupunki exit to the right. Then, drive the Petosentie road for about 2.2 km. Turn right at the junction onto the Hulkontie road, and the Emergency Services Academy will be on the left-hand side of the road.
