How to arrive at the Emergency Services Academy
The visiting address of the Emergency Services Academy is Hulkontie 83, 70820 Kuopio. If you arrive by car, please park in one of the guest parking spaces and get a parking permit from the Lobby Services. The Lobby Services desk is located in Building A, to the right of the main entrance (marked ‘A2’ in the figure).
The parking permit must be placed so that it is visible through the windscreen. This will help avoid parking fines. If the parking area is full, you can park your car by the curb of the Letkukaari road opposite the Emergency Services Academy.

Report for training at the Student Affairs Office
If you are here for training, report at the Student Affairs Office. After providing their photo ID to the Student Affairs Office, the participants will receive an electronic key for moving around in the campus area.
Only passports and identity cards issued by a Finnish authority are accepted.
Those who have booked accommodation will receive a key card for the course hotel.
Accommodation at the course hotel
You can stay at the Emergency Services Academy course hotel during your visit. You can ask the Student Affairs Office for accommodation.
The key card to your room can be collected from the Student Affairs Office during office hours. If you plan to arrive outside office hours, you will receive specific instructions on how to get your key when booking accommodation.
The entrance to the course hotel is on the Hulkontie road. The main entrance opens with the same key card as the door to your room.
- You can leave your personal belongings in the room at noon at the earliest.
- The room will be cleaned and ready by 14:00.
- You must check out by 10:00.
Meals at Restaurant Tulikukko
Restaurant Tulikukko is located on the Emergency Services Academy campus in the lobby of Building A. Tulikukko serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and take-away food.
Depending on the training, the price may cover breakfast, lunch, dinner, or more than one meal. There are also snacks, e.g. sandwiches, yoghurt and fruit, soft drinks, ice cream and sweets for sale.
